Redefining the Meaning of a Station
A "station" is more than just a stop along a journey; it embodies local memories and cultural connections. In the design of Taitung Dawu Station, we used architectural language to resonate with the unique landscapes of Taitung Dawu, transforming this space into a welcoming place for travelers to rest and a vibrant hub for community interaction, seamlessly blending with the surrounding natural environment.
A Harmonious Dialogue Between Architecture and Nature
Careful consideration was given to the site's topography, climate, and local context. Thoughtful material selection and spatial arrangement allow the architecture to grow organically within its environment, becoming an integral part of local life. We envision this station not just as a place of transit but as a cultural landmark that fosters community connections and meaningful exchanges.
