Kaixuan Green Trees Social Housing

Kaixuan Green Trees Social Housing

Introduction

"The Neighborhood Shared Space: The house is rented, but life is not."

Kaixuan Green Tree is located in the urban core of Kaohsiung City, adjacent to the Minzu Commuter Station, part of the city’s railway underground project. The site, designated as Agency Land No. 11, is close to the station and the Kaohsiung Science and Technology Museum. With the recent completion and opening of the Taiwan Railways Green Corridor, the surrounding greenbelt holds significant development potential.

However, the current building coverage and floor area ratios in the surrounding areas are underutilized, with many aging communities, such as Minzu Public Housing, characterized by fragmented landscape spaces that urgently require improvement. This project aims to revitalize and transform the urban landscape by leveraging the site’s priority development. Through the integration of public spaces, the project seeks to drive urban renewal in the surrounding areas. The development includes 250 units of social housing along with welfare and shared spaces, catering to a diverse range of residents and enhancing community living. By spearheading this project, Kaixuan Green Tree hopes to create a vibrant and cohesive urban environment that benefits the community and sets a benchmark for sustainable urban development.
