The site is located at the office of the Secretary-General of the Xingda Harbor Fishermen’s Association, sharing the same viewpoint as an ink painting that depicts Xingda Harbor as a scene where “fishing boats gather like a forest, moored in layers along the harbor, while the sea breeze carries the atmosphere of a bountiful return.”
The design concept of the public restroom is to let the building rise gently like the hull of a boat between the tides, forming a harvest settlement that appears to float upon the sea.
