Chao Chien-Ming Architects & Planners was founded in 1997 by architect Chao Chien-Ming. The firm integrates modern architectural design with local culture through innovative and experimental design concepts. Since its establishment, the firm’s works have garnered numerous domestic and international awards. Their designs, widely praised in local communities and on the global stage, have been featured in renowned media outlets such as ArchDaily, Taiwan Architecture Report, Architect Magazine, Tomorrow Magazine, and on public and private television programs like PTS and FTV’s Art Talk.

As of 2024, the firm has achieved 88 award recognitions, including the National Excellence Award Grand Prize, the National Green Building Award, the Golden Safety Award, the Yuan Ye Award, the Golden Stone Award, the Golden Pin Design Award, and a finalist position in the WSD World Stage Design Awards. In 2023, the firm also received two Platinum Grand Prizes and one Silver Prize at the London Design Award.

The firm has completed the world's third 3D-printed concrete landscape project and applied robotic arm spray painting techniques as part of its digital manufacturing methods. Additionally, the firm utilizes a "cloud-based operations management system" as its project management SOP and knowledge management tool, ensuring precise and efficient project execution.
